Thanks to the collaborative efforts of CORPAC, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and other sectors participating in multisectoral dialogue, the Purús runway has been maintained, covering the most deteriorated sections to ensure safe and continuous air operations.
This improvement, which represents an investment of 500,000 soles, will allow flights of the Peruvian Air Force and commercial companies to continue operating safely, ensuring the transport of patients in emergencies and the delivery of medicines, food, and healthcare professionals to one of the most isolated areas of the country.
This progress represents much more than infrastructure: it means life, access to essential services, and better living conditions for Indigenous families on the Amazonian border.
