🌿 We completed the distribution of Multi-Hazard Kits in Purús. We reached Alto Purús, the area furthest from Puerto Esperanza and closest to the Purús Communal Reserve and Alto Purús National Park. Here, 58 families from 7 communities received their kits containing nails, fuel, and jerrycans to reinforce their homes against heavy rains and strong winds. With this final stage, together with #FECONAPU, we completed visits to all four sectors of Purús: Curanja, Alto, Medio, and Bajo Purús. In total, 512 families from 28 communities now have the basic supplies needed to protect their homes and loved ones during the Amazonian winter. This is especially important for children and the elderly, who are the most vulnerable to these weather conditions. 💚 This intervention strengthens the communities' capacity to respond to climate emergencies.
