📝 Ministry of the Environment | The 2025 Annual Meeting of Heads of Protected Natural Areas took place today! A space to share the achievements of 2024 and define the goals for 2025. The event featured the participation of the Minister of the Environment, Juan Carlos Castro, who highlighted the importance of the work carried out by park rangers in safeguarding megadiversity in our country.

🗣️ “The role of the leaders of protected natural areas is key to conserving our megadiversity and boosting local development. Therefore, it is important to take advantage of the opportunities we have in these areas and generate more development,” emphasized Minister Juan Carlos Castro.

📌 At the event, a commitment was also signed to strengthen the #Sernanp Solidarity Fund, created in conjunction with Profonanpe and DAS Perú. This fund will provide non-reimbursable financial support to employees and their families in the event of emergencies, reaffirming the State's commitment to those who protect the country's natural areas.

📢 The head of MINAM also announced that, after 12 years, the IV National Congress of Park Rangers will be held in Lima from October 15 to 17, within the framework of the Day of Natural Protected Areas in Peru.
